Well, our Semester 2 Concert for 2015 has been and gone. What a great time was had by all! Performers and audience members experienced a wonderful night in the Green Brain Room at RMIT - a venue in itself a step away from our usual space and, oh so nice! The music was varied and entertaining, sometimes amusing, sometimes thought provoking but always sung well and received with much appreciation.
This semester we have called on several of our members to use their arranging and/or composing skills in order to get this concert full of wonderfull music. We thank them for their efforts. Did you know that most of them learned their skills whilst at ROCS? The ROCCC and being around amazing people inspires many members to try their hand. Is this something you might like to try, too? The next ROCCC isn't far away, but we know you can do it!
ROCS will continue rehearsing with a more relaxed pace now. We have many songs we love, more songs we want to learn, songs to polish to performance standard. Most importantly - we just love singing together! If you have been hesitating about coming by due to our concert schedule (or your studies) then now is a great time to pay us a visit! Come and relax with us as the year's commitments ebb away.

It was an amazing evening of entertainment provided by various subsets of RMIT Music, including ROCS, last Friday night. We had a wonderful time both performing and hearing the work of the other Music Collective members.
ROCS took the chance to test-run a couple of the more PG-rated songs which will feature in next weekend's Not Safe For Work concert (don't miss the fun!) whilst MANGA showcased one of their newer pieces and our Crazy Over-Rehearsing People (CORP) added a couple special numbers of their own. We also performed a collaborative work with the Chamber Orchestra.
All in all it was a fabulous night. We hope to see you at the next concert - not far away now!

Well, time is drawing close! We have two performances coming up and we want to see as many people as possible there!
First up you will be able to see us at the RMIT Music Showcase on Friday October 9th. We will perform a selection of our pieces and also a special collaborative work with the RMIT Chamber Orchestra. Bonus: appreciate the talents shown by all the groups that form RMIT Music. This one is free and always worth a look, so pencil it in now.
No need for a pencil here - you don't want to miss our second event! On Saturday October 17th ROCS presents their "Not Safe For Work" concert. This is the one we've been hard at work on all semester. Mature audiences only because some of the content is a little risqué, but we promise a good time. New venue for this one - we are performing in the Green Brain. You'll need tickets to get through the doors but we will make it worth your while. More details at NSFW2015.
We look forward to seeing you at our concerts!
